As the association is run by volunteers, all of whom are already in employment or run their own successful businesses, there was a lot of work to be carried out at the point of my joining the project. The conference was 4-months out, the venue had been booked and presenters provisionally confirmed.
Created a shared, interactive workback plan, showing what needed to be done, by when and who. Acted as the presenter liaison, agreeing contracts and collating documentation. Advised on communication plan and produced a 32-page conference brochure, made available to download from the company website and as a printed document.
Over 120 in-person delegates experienced a successful and smoothly run conference. The workback plan is a tool which the association will use as part of their planning process for next year.
