Visionable and Verizon Business were launching a new state-of-the-art innovation and co-creation centre, supported by Juniper Networks and Capgemini. The Centre, based at Visionable’s HQ in Kent, is a showcase for the next generation of healthcare, featuring a virtual hospital ward, connected emergency service vehicle, patient home, and a dedicated collaboration hub for professionals to work together with the aim of creating innovative future solutions to improve patient outcomes and ultimately, save lives.
My role was to take the launch event from initial concept, through to completion with a primary goal of creating a positive brand experience that would resonate with senior executives involved in healthcare, and a secondary goal of showcasing the strategic partnership between Visionable and Verizon.
Planning began early, establishing outcomes and objectives for stakeholders and partners who were involved at every level of planning. A work-back plan was in place and updated regularly to ensure that the project stayed on schedule and cross-department collaboration was essential throughout.
The launch event was to be an immersive experience that created an emotional connection with the attendees. For this reason, we took a patient-centric approach using stroke as the pathway. We invited approximately 40 guests to experience the new Centre and to hear from representatives from Visionable and Verizon alongside inspiring stories from stroke survivor Paul Mylrea and Jenny Clarke, CEO and Co-founder of brain injury recovery charity SameYou. We developed collateral to tell the story and worked with a videographer to create a pre-event teaser video which was shared during a separate event – the Verizon international press meeting – and a 3-minute brand video that could be used post-event across the business.
The Visionable-Verizon Connected Healthcare Centre officially opened on the 11 May 2022. Several new assets were created to support the Centre including a new webpage (the most visited page on the website outside of the homepage in Q2), a new media centre on the website allowing a single point of access for media outlets, and a virtual tour of the Centre that can also be viewed in VR. Working with the Verizon Business media team, the event and partnership were covered in several publications.
The launch event’s impressive guestlist consisted of senior NHS leaders and healthcare decision-makers, as well as representatives from leading professional organisations including Deloitte, PwC, Verizon, Capgemini and Juniper Networks.
Immediate opportunities were presented during the launch event with a noticeable statement of intent from the Global CTO of a major healthcare provider.
The Centre is now officially listed as a Verizon 5G Innovation Hub.
